Greenwich Action for Voluntary Service (GAVS) is delighted to offer a new workshop and training programme from June to December 2010 for all voluntary, community and faith organisations in Greenwich.
This programme offers organisations relevant and tailored training for staff, trustees and volunteers to give them the knowledge, skills and tools to deliver their services and achieve their objectives more effectively.

Places are limited, so book soon!
Once your booking is completed you will receive a confirmation email. If a course is fully booked we will notify you and put you on the reserve list.

Important information
• All training is free apart from the Accountancy training.
• No more than two people per organisation can attend the same course.
• If you are unable to attend a course you have booked, please notify GAVS as soon as possible, and at least 24 hours in advance of the training.
•If you do not attend a course you have booked without notifying GAVS first, and this happens twice, you will not be allowed to book any more training within that half of the year.
• Please make sure you arrive promptly at the stated time. If you are more than 30 minutes late you may not be admitted.
• Anyone who is not on our booking list will not be admitted.
The consultation on the Council’s Third Sector Commissioning Framework 2011-2014 has now closed.

The Health and Well-being Forum has been in existence since June 2009 and four meetings have been held.
It is aimed at third sector organisations providing services to people who are elderly, people with learning and/or physical impairments, and organisations delivering projects/activities related to sports, welfare rights, community safety, sexuality housing, and gender.
The format of the Health and Well-being forum currently involves 15 minute presentations from three member organisations as well as updates on the Choice and Control personalisation pilot in Greenwich and feedback on the Safeguarding Adults Multi Agency Group.
