GAVS team is as colourful and vibrant as the sector in Greenwich. Coming from very different backgrounds the GAVS staff is working together to provide services that support the delivery and development of all voluntary, community and faith organisations and to support and develop the voice of the sector.
After spending two and a half years working as a volunteer in the UN in Vietnam, Naomi Goldberg started working as Chief Executive of GAVS in September 2009. Before Vietnam, she was Head of Policy and Performance for Barking and Dagenham Council where she led on the voluntary sector, community development and partnership working amongst many other things.
As Chief Executive, Naomi’s work includes facilitating the representation of the Greenwich voluntary sector so that it has a strong voice when working with voluntary sector partners. She also oversees the capacity building and fundraising support work alongside ensuring that GAVS itself is a well structured and robust organisation.
