The National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO) has published an update to its 2011 Counting the Cuts report, looking at the scale of cuts so far and those still to come. The report predicts continued challenges for the sector, with further cuts to government funding alongside a worsening outlook for other traditional sources of income. However the authors note the range of strategies that charities have pursued so far to survive and express cautious optimism for the longer term.
