AFRICA WOMEN -‘African Women’ is a play written by Ugandan artist Milly Namukasa who is now based in London. The play portrays the plight of African women being exploited by their husbands and the problems of polygamy, greed and misogamist men.  The women who themselves were sold into virtual slavery stand up for their daughters and resist history repeating itself. This very innovative play opens up some very serious cultural issues whilst entertaining the audience with humour and the sharpness of the dialogue.
