This legislation applies across the whole health and social care sector and is as relevant to the voluntary sector as it is to the statutory sector.
You are highly likely to come across clients for whom both acts will apply.
It also links with Safeguarding and the Care Act under which all organisations are responsible. Get:

  • An overview of the Mental Capacity Act 2005 (MCA), including: who is affected by the MCA  assessing mental capacity and making best interest decisions.
  • An overview of the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DOLS), including what might constitute deprivation of liberty and what action to take if you suspect a person’s liberty is at risk.

Please note this course is free for members. You will need to complete the online booking process below and this will be treated as your deposit, which will be refunded upon attendance. Your deposit will not be refunded if you fail to attend.
