Health & Well-Being – Adults and Older People
Does your group provide Health, Social Care and Well-Being services and activities for adults and older people in Greenwich? Are you a tenants or residents association, or does your group’s remit include working on health and well-being issues, for example any work with older people, people with disabilities, work around sexuality, or physical activity and sports?
If so, your group has access to a range of support from METRO GAVS including:
- The Greenwich Community Directory: a searchable database setting out the huge range of adult services in Greenwich. Why not make sure your organsiation is listed? Also if you need more support then call the Live Well Greenwich Line on 0800 470 4831
- One-to-one support from the designated lead Development Officer for Health & Well-Being, Pauline O’Hare.
- Voluntary Sector Forum: meeting four times a year, this is a great opportunity to keep your group linked in and abreast of new developments affecting your service users
Pauline O’ Hare is the Voluntary and Community Organisations’ representative on the Safeguarding Adults Board in Greenwich. This high level strategic partnership oversees and supports the effectiveness of arrangements to safeguard adults at risk within individual agencies and across the partnership.
Health and Well-Being is a broad term in a fast changing environment and there can be cross over at times with other service provision in METRO GAVS. This is managed in conjunction with METRO GAVS’ Development team.
For more information on any of the above activities, contact Pauline O’Hare at METRO GAVS.
